Birds are changing their migratory patterns and other behaviors to adapt to humanity’s impact on the environment. “Messages from the Birds,” which Drew Associates produced in 1988 for the National Audubon Society, Turner Broadcasting System and WETA-Washington, DC, follows several species of shore birds as they deal with potential threats to the ecosystem. Martin Sheen narrates this coast-to-coast journey across the U.S., showcasing what we can learn from birds and from those on the forefront of conservation efforts.
